Rural Technology Action Group (RuTAG) at IIT Roorkee was started in January 2010. The objective of RuTAG to provide necessary synergy and support to a non-government or voluntary organization, involved in the development of need based and demand driven high level technological interventions for the benefit of various rural occupational groups of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and J & K. RuTAG is supported by office of Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India.
